VICOUSTICS HOME THEATRE PACKAGES
These packs are designed to be a basis for setting up acoustic treatment in standard sized Home Theatre rooms.
They provide acoustic treatment solutions that will significantly improve the sound of any Home Theatre system by removing sound reflections and sound issues in general from the room.
In the main, this is about adjusting the sound issues inside the room and not isolation of the room. For isolation this requires a full bespoke design, however we have included one part of isolation in these designs by use of the rubber strip for the door, (also done to avoid movement of the door as well).
Dependent on the size of the room, these solutions are based on having 1, 2 or up to 3 rows of seating. The larger the room, the assumption of increased rows of seating.
These designs also take into account the following audio formats:
9.1.6
9.1.4
7.1.4
7.1.2
5.1.4
5.1.2
NB: these designs are suitable for up to 6 subwoofers in a room as the .1 option in the above formats. We recommend min 2 sub woofers in any system for rooms over 3x4m in size and increasing subwoofers in lots of 2 accordingly to Cedia and THX Specification guidelines
To note, some adjustments will need to be made if you are planning to have on-wall rears and surrounds vs in-ceiling to accommodate for the on-wall speakers, which can be done on site during installation.
In addition, whilst not recommended but can be done for budget reasons, you can remove segments of the room acoustic treatments (we detail these on each design). This will lessen the effectiveness of the room treatment but still provide significant improvements to the room acoustics.
In all cases some room acoustic treatment, (if done correctly) is far better than none and no cinema system should be sold without room acoustic treatment.
Whilst we still encourage bespoke design to suit a particular room, for those that prefer to offer a more standardised solution, these packs are designed for you and will help improve your system immensely.

Adding Bass traps
To get the ultimate in room performance, it is recommended to add bass traps to this design. Using the Super Bass Extreme you would require 8 units (4 units for each of either the front or rear corners) and 2 base stackers and 4 levels. This would add $3860 to the cost of this design for 2 corners. You can of course extend this to all 4 corners if applicable.
Removing Layers
Remember removing layers reduces the effectiveness of the room acoustic treatment and is not ideal.
For this room there are several options to reduce cost:

Remove one of the side wall panel sections (both sides)
